The Groesbeck Journal has established a Community Marketing Grant Program to assist locally owned businesses during the COVID-19 crisis.
A total of 59 Limestone County residents were tested for COVID-19 at a mobile test collection site Thursday, April 30, at Groesbeck’s Fire Station 1. In other cities the size of Groesbeck, testing turnout was about 35 people. Groesbeck surpassed that mark, showing how prepared and cautious residents in our area were in the wake of the virus.
Emergency Management Director for Limestone County Matt Groveton announced Saturday that the county had acquired its 14th case of COVID-19.
Limestone County commissioners court held a specially called meeting on April 22 to consider making changes at the Limestone County Detention Center, the county-owned prison run by LaSalle Corrections: a new payment arrangement, but would not comment on “the potential sale or future management of the LCDC Building.”
