Election Results

The majority of voters seem to be happy with their representation on city council and the school board, as the incumbents won their elections Saturday, May 6. A total of 1,162 ballots were cast in the county according to the Limestone County Elections Administration.

Commissioners welcome new Fairgrounds Director

During the Public Comment portion of the meeting, Precinct 4 Commissioner Bobby Forest addressed the court and attendees on the topic of property valuations, which are handled by the County Appraisal District.

“I want to stand here as a citizen, not as a commissioner, and make sure that the general public understands, not being critical of the Limestone County Appraisal District because they have a lot of rules they have to follow, but the Appraisal District is not the county; it has nothing to do with this commission, Mexia ISD, the City of Groesbeck, anybody.
