Janzen Eckols and Kiera McGee announce marriage

Mitch and Kenda Eckols of Kosse, would like to announce the approaching marriage celebration of their son, Janzen Eckols to Kiera McGee, daughter of Kim and Clinton McGee of Wimberley.  The celebration will take place in Wimberley, on September 30, 2017 and be conducted by Pastor Jack Wren of 1st Baptist Kosse.

Janzen is a graduate of Groesbeck High School and recently finished serving with the United States Marine Corps, completing 2 overseas deployments, while being stationed in Camp Lejeune North Carolina.  Corporal Eckols served in the 1/10 artillery battalion and was recently honorably discharged and now making a transition from shooting bombs to picking tomatoes…

Kiera graduated from McGee Home School & Holland Street Academy, and soon after attended Texas State University. During the last several years she competed successfully in Equine events winning several titles and a World Championship in English Equitation.

Janzen’s grandparents are Dewitt and MaryAnn Johnson of Kosse, and Lorraine and the late Thomas Eckols of Seguin.  

Kiera’s grandparents are Rosie and Cliff McGee and Alfred and Shirley Simpson of Austin and Al and Aline Therrien of Wimberley.

Both Kiera and Janzen are making their home in the country outside of Kosse, where they are co-owners of RainWater Farms, LLC.
