Christian parents pray often for their children. The Bible records several instances of parent’s praying for their children. However, there are dozens of additional verses that command prayer for others. Obviously, anything a believer in God could or should pray for another person would be an appropriate prayer for one's children.
Job, the man with great patience was also a praying parent. Early in the morning Job would sacrifice a burnt offering (this was a sin offering) for each of his children, thinking, “Perhaps my children have sinned and cursed God in their hearts” (Job 1: 5). This was Job's regular custom.
