GHS ART CLUB PAINTS THE TOWN

The Groesbeck High School Art Club was out and about painting the windows of our town for the holiday season last week. Many different downtown businesses opted to join in the holiday fun and allow our art club to show their talents in a very public way while spreading cheer in our community. Thank you to our GHS Art Club, Art Director Desirae Settlemyer, Groesbeck City Administrator Chris Henson and Groesbeck ISD. Check out windows of the Groesbeck Journal, Kamdan’s Cafe, RSI, Longbotham, and more!

Victory Baptist blesses 384 children with Operation Christmas Child, gives thanks

The Victory Baptist Church Family would like to thank everyone who played a part in making their Operation Christmas Child ministry effort a huge success this year. With your help they were able to raise enough money through their gift and bake sale, as well as the raffle of a beautiful quilt, to send shoeboxes full of fun and useful gifts to 384 children. Many of these children have never received a gift of any kind in their entire lives. Through these shoeboxes, the children are shown God’s love and are given a chance to learn more about Him.
