Continuing education after high school can be costly. That’s why Limestone County Farm Bureau awarded $1,000 in scholarships to local students.
The American Legion presented its School Awards to two Groesbeck eighth grade students on Memorial Day, May 25, 2020, by Post 288 commander Daniel Burkeen. The boy’s award was presented to Jevan Asberry, and the girl’s award was presented to Avery Stamford. The awards are determined based on honor, courage, leadership, scholarship and service. Jennifer Mackey is one of the newly appointed members of the Limestone Medical Center Board of Directors. She was appointed and sworn into position 3 on Tuesday, May 26, 2020. Jennifer and her husband Mark have lived in Groesbeck for 5 years. They have two children: Leighton (son) aged 15 and Leighanna (daughter) aged 13.
The Groesbeck Lions Club met last Wednesday, May 27, at Mi Rancho Restaurant during the noon hour. Kara McLelland, president, presided.
