Don Sadler took home the first place winnings of a Kamdans Cafe’ gift card and a year subscription to the Groesbeck Journal for his entry ‘The Letter Carrier’ in the 2020 poetry contest which was sponsored by the Massey Foundation.

Though COVID-19 halted the previously planned Groesbeck prom earlier this year. Groesbeck teens were happy to be able to gather for a make shift prom this past Sat. June 13 in Groesbeck.

At its meeting on Wednesday, June 10, the Groesbeck Lions Club recognized its three scholarship winners from the Groesbeck High School Class of 2020. The recipients of the three scholarships were Maggie Devrow, Hannah DeFriend, and Ashleigh Raymond. The scholarships were presented by Kara McLelland, current president of the Groesbeck Lions Club.
