Members and friends of the Let’s Travel Club enjoyed a day trip to the Dallas Arboretum on Tuesday, May 4. This trip was the first day trip for the group in over a year. Fortunately, the weather was just about perfect for the tour of the gardens—not too hot, not too cold with no rain.
Groesbeck, Texas is celebrating its 150th anniversary this year. The recognition of Groesbeck’s 150th celebration of its founding will be highlighted by the first Annual Groesbeck Heritage Festival.
The Texas Rangers, legendary in Texas history, were created in 1823 by Stephen F. Austin, an empresario, who paid his first 10 men out of his own pocket because he was dissatisfied with the protection provided by the Mexican government. “We The People” is a likeminded group of individuals whose love for our community and the country brought us together with mutual intention. Our group as a whole highly respects the service and sacrifices that are made by the men and women who serve.
