Garden Club springs into Summer with social

The Cynthia Ann Garden Club had its End of the Year Social on Thursday, May 25 at the Groesbeck Woman’s Club. The Social Committee, Joan McEntyre, Julia Morton, and Paige Longoria presented us with a “Springing into Summer” themed party. Everything was decorated so cheerfully. In the center of the room, the small tables were situated two together and covered in a white tablecloth. In the center of each duo, was a purple and white plaid cloth, and atop that was a silver oval planter with Flowers & Gardens printed on the side and with an Angelonia plant in it. The place settings consisted of a square plate with pink and purple flowers on the rim and there was a purple napkin and utensils. The buffet had a white cloth on it and to one side was a grouping of pastel metal flowers and to the other side were small purple plates and napkins and next to them were some more clear forks. In the center of the buffet was a gorgeous cake with white icing and large frosting flowers in purple and yellow and white and rose colors and written on the cake was Cynthia Ann Springing into Summer. It was delicious by the way. The main table was covered in a white cloth as well and in the center, another purple and white plaid cloth, and atop that was a beautiful and large crystal vase with a large candle glowing. Around this were the dishes of salads and vegetables that the club members had brought as well as the meat platter that the social committee furnished. They also furnished the cake and tea and water to drink. After we ate, we had our plant exchange game from all the plants everyone who attended brought. A wonderful time was had by all.
