Groesbeck Chamber of Commerce banquet coming up on January 18th
The annual Groesbeck Chamber of Commerce banquet will be coming up on Thursday night, January 18. The banquet will be held at the Groesbeck Convention Center with the doors opening at 6 p.m. and the banquet will be served at 6:30 p.m. Tickets are $20.00 each. Tickets may be purchased at the Chamber office in the Convention Center, various local businesses, and, of course, at the door.
The theme of the banquet will be “A Night in TV Land.” Various businesses will decorate a table with the decorations depicting a certain TV show. The banquet will also have a silent auction and stretch ticket drawing.
Various awards will be presented at the banquet including Educator of the Year awards from all four GISD campuses, Business of the Year, Organization of the Year, Youth Citizen of the Year, Citizen of the Year, and a new award which is the Community Spirit Award, and the Groesbeck Masonic Lodge will present its Community Builder Award at the banquet. The Groesbeck Study Club will present its “Woman of the Year Award” at the banquet.
The speaker for the banquet will be Matthew Wright, a professor at Baylor University; watch for a special article on the speaker in an upcoming issue of the Journal.
