Groesbeck PD Officer Spotlight: Officer Autumn Cox
You may know Officer Autumn Cox as the voice you hear when you call the Groesbeck Police Department, or the smiling face that you see working school traffic. Officer Autumn, as she is called by most, has been working in law enforcement for 20 years; from filing complex reports of all types to helping the community through the Car Seat Program, Autumn does it all.
“My job doesn't necessarily revolve around writing tickets but I'll go out and get my hands dirty, chase the bad guys, I do whatever I have to do,” Autumn said. “Whenever I took this position, it was more of a desk officer job, but since I completed the police academy in 2012 and since Chief Henson has been here, I've been able to go out and actually do more on the streets. I enjoy both sides of the job.”
