Limestone Medical Center Awarded $7,500
Rural Health Outreach Grant by MultiPlan to Revamp Congestive Heart Failure Clinic
Groesbeck’s very own Limestone Medical Center was awarded the MultiPlan, Inc. 2018 Rural Health Outreach Grant in the amount of $7,500 on Monday, August 6. LMC was one of four medical centers across the nation to receive the grant, and Brandy Kennedy, Director of Outpatient Services, was ecstatic to receive the funds.
“I was very pleasantly surprised to find out we won, and very grateful,” Kennedy said, who applied for the grant.
Limestone Medical Center submitted a creative proposal for addressing the healthcare needs of the people in their community. The $7,500 grant will help educate the community about resources available at the hospital’s Congestive Heart Failure (CHF) clinic and to purchase tools that patients can use to monitor themselves at home.
