LMC Volunteers present program at Lions Club
By Tom Hawkins
The Limestone Medical Center Volunteers (LMC Volunteers) presented the program at the Groesbeck Lions Club on Wednesday, April 19.
Representing the LMC Volunteers were Johnnie Wilson, president; Bobbie Jean King, vice-president; Dorothy Wilson, treasurer; and Linnie Middleton, scholarship chairman.
Johnnie Wilson gave the history of the LMC Volunteers. The group was founded on March 15, 1973, not too long before the first Limestone Medical Center hospital opened. The late Mrs. L. L. Geren was the founding president. Seventy-six ladies were present for that first meeting which was held at the Groesbeck Woman’s Club.
