The annual Food for Families Drive will be conducted on Friday, November 17. The Food for Families Drive is conducted in several central Texas counties. The goal is collect food related items to help families in need.
The Food for Families Drive collection site in Groesbeck will be at the Fishes & Loaves Pantry, located on West Navasota Street in downtown Groesbeck. The items collected at this site will benefit those in need in southern Limestone County. The hours at the Groesbeck collection site on November 19th will be 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. The main items needed are non-perishable food items.
Please watch for more information on the Food for Families drive in upcoming issues of the Journal, but for now mark down that November 19th is the date of the 2017 Food for Families in Groesbeck as well as many other communities in Central Texas!
Don’t forget that early voting for the November 7th election is now underway. This election includes some very important Constitutional Amendments and an important school bond election. Vote the way you please but please vote!
A reminder that the Limestone County Historical Museum is open every Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The Museum is located on West Navasota Street in downtown Groesbeck.
As will be noted elsewhere in this week’s Journal, the annual Holiday Market Show will be held on Saturday, November 4, from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at the Groesbeck Convention Center. You might just fine the perfect Christmas gift at this show.
