National Night Out a splash of needed community fun for all

Bre’Asia Stevenson takes her turn on the Slingshot attraction at National Night Out on Tuesday night. Waco Slingshot was a big hit along with the other attractions: T-ball Extreme, Soccer Darts, Extreme Jumper, mechanical bull, the airbrush tattoo station and Fort Parker Park Ranger exhibitions as well as DJ entertainment by Rockin’ Rick the Live Guitar DJ. A great time was had by all as laughter filled Groesbeck City Park with a large number of the community gathered for the unique opportunity for Groesbeck to join forces with thousands of other communities across the country in promoting cooperative, police-community crime prevention efforts so that all citizens of Groesbeck can be aware of the importance of crime prevention programs and the impact that their participation can have on reducing crime, drugs, and violence in Groesbeck. Each year, family, friends and revelers anticipate the arrival of the holiday so they can host barbecues, enjoy the sun, listen to their favorite summertime tunes, and commemorate the freedoms afforded by the monumental events that led to the holiday’s establishment.
