This year, the Groesbeck Chamber Directors selected The Limestone County Child Welfare Board as Organization of the Year 2021 for their dedicated and tireless efforts in helping children in foster care and supporting the foster parents who take them in. Becky Gorgas, one of nine board members who has been involved for about as many years, has a lot of respect for foster parents and a heart for kids, making this volunteer work a perfect fit for her.

Southern Grace by Joyous Creations has been named the Business of the Year for 2021 by the Groesbeck Chamber of Commerce. The award will be presented this Thursday night at the Groesbeck Chamber of Commerce banquet.

In the first installment of this series, the purpose of Career and Technical Education (CTE) programs was explored, and last week, readers were given an inside look at three of the CTE programs offered at Groesbeck ISD- Culinary Arts, Health Care Diagnostics, and Law Enforcement. In this final installment, we will look at programs of study and classes that have long been popular with GHS students, especially those affiliated with the high school’s chapter of Future Farmers of America (FFA).
