I, Bobby Forrest, would like to announce my candidacy for re-election to Limestone County Commissioner-Precinct 4.
We at Fishes and Loaves Food Pantry would like to thank all who donated to our Food For Families Food Drive. We did GREAT thanks to all of you. All four schools in Groesbeck participated in a huge way as did so many of our businesses and individuals here in Groesbeck. We are so blessed. Our shelves and freezers were almost empty and now we will be able to fill up our shelves and get meat for our freezers. Your generosity humbles and overwhelms us and we thank you to all who volunteered during this event. From all of us at Fishes and Loaves Food Pantry, we give you a heartfelt THANK YOU, and may God bless you all. Added are a few pics from that day. There were many more volunteers and we so enjoyed our visit from Katie with KWTX and her cameraman who were a joy to get to know as well as Jennifer from the Groesbeck Journal. Our final total after a few late donations was 52,231 pounds; surpassing our goal of 50,000 pounds. Praise the Lord. Contributed article.
The GISD Band Program will be presenting concerts to showcase its students during the month of December.
November is known as a time to give thanks, but in Texas the month also marks the beginning of a winter tradition for anglers of all ages across the state. The Texas Parks and Wildlife Department will kick off this tradition when it begins stocking thousands of rainbow trout Nov. 24. The easy to catch rainbow trout are delicious table fare and can be found on many restaurant menus.
