The following indictments were handed down by the Limestone County Grand Jury on April 21. Those listed are not guilty unless and until a court finds otherwise. An indictment simply means there is enough evidence to warrant a trial.
The Groesbeck City Council spent a considerable amount of time discussing the possibility of amending an ordinance to allow manufactured homes in a neighborhood of Groesbeck known as “The Hill” in their meeting on Tuesday, May 18.
The GISD Board of Trustees met in a mixed format meeting on May 17, with Superintendent Dr. James Cowley and board members gathered in person, and other administrators, principals and staff members tuned in via ZOOM video conference call, as has been the norm for the 2020-2021 school year so far. As many COVID restrictions have been lifted by the state government and vaccines have become more widely available, board members were tasked with re-visiting the mask policy, graduation plans and more in an effort to best serve the district as the school year comes to a close.
