The Groesbeck City Council met on April 20, to discuss a rate increase from Frontier Waste Solutions as well as the possibility of restructuring the fees and functions of brush services the city currently offers residents, a service that administrators believe is being taken advantage of.

Navarro College Foundation’s singing contest fundraiser, Legacy 2021: A New Voice, was last held in February 2020, right before the pandemic hit – which can seem a very long time ago. The event was extremely popular, so those who enjoyed that night will be happy to know the contest is returning June 11, just over seven weeks from now.

County commissioners continued their discussion about opportunities to pay down the amount still owed in bonds for the Limestone County Law Enforcement Center at their meeting Tuesday, April 27.
