American Legion hosts District Spring Convention in Groesbeck

American Legion Ashburn-Hanna Post 288 of Groesbeck hosted the 6th District Spring Convention at the Groesbeck Convention Center on April 15 and 16. The districts within the Department of Texas each hold spring and fall district conventions. These conventions are held so each district executive committee may conduct such business as deemed necessary like training sessions and the election of new officers.

Groesbeck gives permit for RV Park; Supports Summerfest

The Groesbeck City Council considered issuing a permit for a recreational vehicle (RV) park to Rachel Mejia at their meeting on Tuesday, April 18, as required by an ordinance from 2007 since it will be within city limits. According to City Administrator Chris Henson, Mejia, who owns the property on Yeagua St. that is currently utilized as a flea market some weekends, is ready to hit the ground running and upgrade and add RV site hookups to the location in the interest of opening an RV Park in the near future.
