Bi-Stone Cross-Country Teams Get in Last Minute Races Prior to the Start of District

The Groesbeck Goats cross-country team competed at the Pro-Fit Last Chance Invitational 2025 meet held on Thursday, October 2nd at Heritage Park in Belton. The varsity girls team finished ninth out of 22 teams, led by Khloe Marler taking 11th place with a time of 13:57.59. Finishing in the Top 40 was Clover Diaz with a time of 14:52.12.

Citizen Medallion Dedication for Cynthia Ann Parker

Several members of the Sons of the Republic of Texas and the Daughters of the Republic of Texas, along with many descendants of the Parker family, gathered June 12 at Fort Sill, Oklahoma, at the gravesite of Cynthia Ann Parker to honor her as a former Republic of Texas citizen. The George B. Erath Chapter – Waco SRT, led by Trevor Wardlaw, planned and organized the event. The Sterling C. Robertson DRT Chapter – Waco sponsored the DRT Citizen Medallion.
