The 10th Annual Limestone County Go Texan BBQ Cook-Off is returning to Groesbeck this spring with a new distinction — the event is now an official state championship cook-off.

Basketball playoffs are coming to an end for many. The girls state championships will be held this weekend and the boys next weekend. For the Bi-Stone Region, the Fairfield, Mexia, and Coolidge boys are still playing.
Groesbeck High School held a send off for Lady Goat Powerlifters headed to regional Friday, Feb. 27 at 1:30 p.m. with performances by the drumline and several of the varsity cheerleaders. Qualifiers for regionals included Yesenia Barco, Summerleigh Baty, Kandance Hardin, Jayde Herring, Alley Ibarra, Madison McCreery, Sugiedy Orta, Miley Owen and Carly Scott with alternates Aven Holloway, Loren Waters and Kayleigh Wolf.
