What began in 1985 as a request to build a wheelchair ramp for a friend resulted in the creation of what was then called The Dallas Ramp Project. In 2006, they became a statewide non profit organization rebranded as the Texas Ramp Project. Since its inception, their mission has been to build wheelchair ramps for disabled or elderly residents with limited financial means. Potential recipients are referred by a qualifying third party through the organization’s website. Using material completely funded through the project, volunteers can be found donating their Saturday morning to help provide these individuals with safer access to their homes easing a burden for someone in need. The organization has been celebrating its 40 year anniversary building ramps across the state. No construction experience is required and ramps are typically completed in five hours.

The Groesbeck fall tennis team received several awards as the District 184A All-District team was named recently. The team had a phenomenal season, setting a few records and making school history along the way. The Goats finished the year in the Top 16 in state, playing up a division class and making it to the fourth round of the playoffs. It was the first time in school history that a Groesbeck tennis team has done that after moving up a class, not to say earning the chance to play in the Regional Tournament Goat players earning district accolades were: Braedon Bondhus and Ishaan Patel earned a spot on the All-District First Team, Line One Boys Doubles.
