Francine Steele Moore - January 20, 1939 - May 21, 2017
Francine Steele Moore, age 78, of Columbia, Kentucky, died on May 21, 2017, at the Medical Center in Bowling Green, Kentucky.
Francine and her husband, Winston Moore, had lived in Columbia, Kentucky, for several years.
Francine was born on January 20, 1939, in Groesbeck. She was the daughter of the late Frank and Christine Robertson Steele.
The deceased was a member of the South Hampton Church of Christ in Columbia and also attended the Columbia Church of Christ for many years.
Francine enjoyed gardening, reading, painting, and she was a very talented artist. She loved and cherished all of her family and was a devoted wife and mother.
Francine was a 1958 graduate of Groesbeck High School. She was involved in various school activities. Being a talented artist, she did much of the art work for the G.H.S. yearbook, The TAOG, while in high school. She often returned to Groesbeck to attend the class reunions of the G.H.S. Class of 1958 and the annual Groesbeck homecomings.
In addition to her parents Francine was preceded in death by a grandson, Michael Tindell, and by two siblings, Elsie Merillian and Jerry Steele.
She is survived by her husband, Winston Moore of Columbia, Kentucky; two sons, Mat Tindell and Jason Moore, both of Waco, Texas; two daughters, Julie Edwards of Parker Colorado and Lisa Dams of Plainwell, Michigan; three brothers, Russian “Cotton” Steele and Paul Steele, both of Lott, Texas, and Allen Steele of Glenwood, Colorado, and one sister, Brooksie Cook of Keller, Texas.
Also surviving are seven grandchildren, Austin and Dylan Edwards, Aaron Tindell, Percy and Orion Moore, Stuart and Martin Dams; and two great-grandchildren, Breanna and Garvin Tidwell; and several other relatives and friends.
The funeral services were held at the Grisson-Martin Funeral Home in Columbia, Kentucky. Aaron Trimm officiated at the funeral services. Burial was in the Peeice Community Cemetery in Green County, Kentucky.
