Letter to the Editor
There is much to be said about how our elected State and Federal legislators are managed by lobbyists. Lobbyists raise the majority of our politicians’ campaign funds, and write the majority the legislation. The idea that our elected representatives represent the interests or the voters is a farce.
For lack of campaign finance reform our legislators are beholden to lobbyists to get elected and are dependent upon the same lobbyist to write legislation. The public is largely unaware of this fact, and I’m not sure if they were aware if they’d be willing to take any action themselves to force the candidates they vote for to push for campaign finance reform.
