Walking In Truth: A Weekly Devotional

“For I rejoiced greatly, when the brethren came and testified of the truth that is in thee, even as thou walkest in the truth. I have no greater joy than to hear that my children walk in the truth.” 3 John 3-4 What a wonderful testimony of how we should live every day in truth. These verses confirm that those who are saved have the power of God within them through the Holy Spirit to walk in the truth. This truth is nothing else except Jesus Christ, “Jesus said, I am the way, the truth, and the life.” If Christ is in our life we should be walking in the commandments of his Word, the bible. This should produce in us the ability of telling the truth every time our mouth is open. It should motivate us to always seek the truth concerning anything we read or hear. It should cause us to desire being around others that are Christians and enjoy speaking the truth. Truth is changed in our society. Truth has become whatever a person desires it to be. This type of society truth can be changed by the way we live and talk. That is the truth of this world and not the Lord Jesus Christ. He will never change and we should desire his truth within us more than any other knowledge in this world. What truth have we talked about recently that may not be the truth? Are we believing the lies of the devil and this world or will we seek the knowledge of Christ and his will for our life this day? Attend church this next Sunday and surrender your false truth for the only truth found in the love of Jesus Christ.
