It’s an honor to take over writing “Capital Highlights” from two capable predecessors, Chris Cobler and Ed Sterling. They are tough acts to follow, but I’ll do my best.
As stated several times previously, one of the big events planned for 2021 in Groesbeck is the Heritage Festival. It will take place on May 29-30. The event will celebrate Groesbeck’s 150th anniversary.
“Adam was made in the image of God and Jesus was God made in the image of man.” (Genesis 1:26; Philippians 1:5-8) I can easily imagine God ruling and judge the universe. I can even imagine God creating the world separating the Red Sea. But God living in human flesh as a man. Remarkable!
Groesbeck will be 150 years old this year. Yours truly hopes to write several stories on the history of Groesbeck and, perhaps, its people.
