Shepherds Sayings

Jesus said to his followers, “It is I. Don’t be afraid.” (Mark6:50) Therefore, choose to believe in God’s loving care and take a nap, as it were, until the storm passes.

Thornton Senior News

In spite of all the things going on around us, we are still holding our own in our little town of Thornton. We had ten pick up lunches today and our numbers were really down today. Hopefully next week will be better. We will be having Smothered Hamburger w/gravy and onions, Pea Salad, Tossed Salad / dressing, Strawberry Jello and Tea. Hope you will be able to join in on getting the meals. Let Janice know of your intentions at 254/203- 2769. It’s a must to know because meals are coming from Groesbeck already prepared individually and we don’t want someone to come and then not have a meal for them. Sorry so many are missing out today.

The annual Groesbeck Fireworks Display received many very good compliments. The fireworks display attraction was held in the City Park-Sports Complex. The local fireworks show was presented by Jay’s Fireworks of Groesbeck. It is owned and operated by Jay and Jean Smith. The Groesbeck Fireworks Display is sponsored by the City of Groesbeck and the Groesbeck Chamber of Commerce.
