Taking The Wheel
If there’s one thing we Texans pride ourselves on, it’s being independent – and if there’s one thing that means independence, it’s our ability to get behind the wheel and go wherever we want to go, whenever we want to go.

Have you ever wondered why things happen as they do? No doubt there are many reasons too numerous to mention. For Old Testament believers, life was much simpler. They gave God credit for everything that happened, and God was willing to accept the responsibility for every event in the life of his people. God said, “When I shut up the heavens so that there is no rain, or command locusts to devour the land or send a plaque among my people, if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land.” (2 Chronicles 7:14) Notice what God takes credit for. He oversees the rain, insects and sickness. God’s people who believe in Him can make a difference as to what happens in the world!
Voters who go to the polls for municipal and school board elections on May 7 will also be asked to decide on two proposed amendments to the Texas Constitution.
The New Year 2022 seems to be getting off to a good start. Several activities are planned for January and February.
