Well, it is almost mid-May, and the first annual Groesbeck Heritage Festival will be here soon. Those Heritage Fesitval dates are May 28-30. Watch for related articles in this week’s Journa and additional upcoming Journals. This year, Groesbeck is celebrating it 150th anniversary of its founding in 1871.
Jesus gave His followers a truly awesome promise when he said, “Where two or three come together in my name, there am I with them. (Matt. 18:20) I am afraid that sometimes we forget to take seriously this and other promises our Lord left us. Have you ever thought about it? Why do people stop attending church, withdrawing from the fellowship of believers? There probably are many reasons and likely some of them at the time seemed valid, but I wonder are they still valid today?
