Lady Goats beat the rain and Rockdale
At least one game was snuck in under the radar of rain last week; that being the Lady Goats road contest against the Rockdale Lady Tigers, in which Groesbeck scoring five runs in the sixth inning resulted in a 13-4 win for the team.
Hallie Mitchell led off the game with a single, then eventually came around to score the game’s first run, giving the Lady Goats a 1-0 lead.
Rockdale countered with two runs in the bottom of the first to go up 2-1.
In the top of the second, with two outs, Dani Morgan reached base on a single and was brought in by Kiera Anglin’s triple, tying the game at 2-2. Anglin scored on an error to give Groesbeck the one-run lead again, 3-2.
