Two-A-Days, The Groesbeck Way
Goats gear up for redemption and won’t give up
Monday, August 6, while most kids enjoy their last bit of summer, the Groesbeck High School Goats football team, straps up and prepares for their upcoming season.
With the fresh smell of dew in the air, and the glorious sounds of whistles echoing through the stadium, the clock strikes 8:00 a.m. That only means one thing, the 2018 football season has begun.. Groesbeck Football Head Coach, and Athletic Director, Steve Hale lines up the Goats for stretching, getting them mentally prepared for the upcoming practice. For some, this will be their last time to have a first practice for the Goats, and others it’s a completely new step into their high school football careers.
This practice starts out with individual stations, making sure each athlete gets the one-on-one they need. Three groups in total...the quick-and-nimble backs; the route-running receivers; and last but not least, the big-boys (a.k.a. the Offensive line).
