The Groesbeck boys basketball team was defeated by state-ranked Mexia, 86-41, at the Groesbeck High School gym Friday, Feb. 10, in its next-to-last game of the season.
Chris Cox has been a standout at multiple positions for the Groesbeck football team during his four years on the varsity. Wherever Coach Jerry Bomar has put him, he has excelled.
Johnny Howard has been playing golf since he was 3 years old, and even though he cooled on the game for a few years, he returned to it once he began attending Groesbeck High School and now has his sights set on playing professionally in the future.
There will be an air of familiarity for Ali Platt when she continues her softball career
in college.
