Goats vie for second place

Malakoff held off stubborn Goats in district battle for first place last Friday. Groesbeck, Teague battle for second place in district this week as they square off at 7:30 p.m. Friday at Teague. Both teams enter the fray with 2-1 district records. The winner will clinch second place in the district with one regular-season game remaining. See coverage on page 4 of this issue.
