Saturday, July 26
11 a.m. until gone — The 4th Annual VFD Thornton Fish Fry is back! Enjoy a delicious meal featuring fried fish, French fries, coleslaw, pinto beans, hush puppies, banana pudding, tea, and water. Plates are $15 each, and to-go options are available. In addition, a Cornhole Tournament with a 50/50 payout will take place indoors with air conditioning. Sign-ups start at noon, and the tournament begins at 2 p.m. Entry fee is $50 per team. Door prizes and a live auction will also be part of the event. Located at Mary Helen Nance Community Center, 301 E 8th St, Thornton, TX.
