Thornton Senior News
The Seniors were abuzz this morning all about Hurricane Harvey, sick folks in our midst, etc. We are thankful to Central Baptist Church for our meeting place and to Joe Neason for providing us with ice each week. We only had 13 present today and for whatever reason others weren't present, we hope they are back with us next week. Linda Watson is in Providence Hospital with broken wrist and also first thought was her pelvic but was her femur instead. We wish Linda a speedy recovery. Kay Alston is home after being hospitalized for a week with pancreatitis and wish her a speedy recovery as well. There are lots of others in our midst who are ill and undergoing trials of one sort or another, so we continue to pray for them.
Those here today were Raye Spivey, Sandra Spivey, Jack Thompson, Merilyn Simpson, Bobbie Reynolds, Elizabeth Neason, Sue Wood, Alma McCurry, Ann Brown, Pat Jones, Alta Hyden, Janice Bilbrey and Jane Carpenter. Jack Thompson seemed to be sleepy today and Merilyn said it was because he was up very early this morning, showered and shaved and anxious to get to Senior Citizens once more. We appreciate you Merilyn for caring for Jack and getting him here the weeks you are with him.
Menu for this week: Pork chops, green beans, tossed salad & dressing, hot rolls and pineapple tidbits.
