Thornton Senior News
A nice and joyful gathering of twenty-two Senior Citizens gathered again at Central Baptist Church for food and fellowship. Those present were Raye Spivey, Sandra Spivey, Jack Thompson, Merilyn Simpson, Ernestine Wilson Audd, Bobbie Reynolds, Elizabeth Neason, Sue Wood, Ann Carr, Linda Taylor, Ann Brown, Wayne Sharp, Helen Harvey, Alma McCurry, Sue Gambini, Wilma Lee, Fonetta Simmons, Alta Hyden, Janice Bilbrey, Jeri Lavasser, Bill Neason and Jane Carpenter. We tried to talk Bill into staying for food, etc. but he had come for his flu shot and had to get back to the hay field. Susan Bond and Tammy Taylor had come to give flu shots to those who wanted them. We appreciate this service from Susan Bond each year.

I do know that the construction on the Community Center is amazing as they were putting in the air conditioning work this week and have the bathrooms framed out, etc. Someone asked me how large the building is to be and I have found out that it's 6000 square feet. The ball fields that are being constructed are also going to be amazing facilities.
