A 1970s Case from the Archives: The Death of Chester Brooks

The small store operated by Chester Wade Brooks along Farm-to-Market Road 339 in the Coit Community was the kind of place that served nearby residents more out of convenience than commerce. That routine was broken when Brooks was found dead at his home and store west of Kosse, prompting a Limestone County investigation that would extend well beyond the initial crime scene.
