Limestone Medical Center Receives Texas Gold Standard Recognition from CLA

Limestone Medical Center has received the Critical Access Hospital Texas Gold Standard Performer recognition from CliftonLarsonAllen, LLP. CliftonLarsonAllen is a professional services network and the eighth largest accountancy firm in the United States. Gold Standard performance criteria were created by CLA as a way to identify, measure and learn from the top performers. The firm examines publicly available data on more than 1,200 CAHs which includes financial, quality, patient satisfaction, total cost of care and county health results from 2015 through 2019. Top CAHs are identified as Gold Standard performers based on their ability to achieve significantly above average performance on all key areas of focus over a sustained period of time which demonstrates success not just day-today but over the long term.

Kosse announces Homecoming 2022

Reserve the date! The 94 Kosse Homecoming Weekend 2022 will take place on Friday, June 10, & Saturday, June 11. Everything kicks off on Friday, with charitable Bingo fun at the Community Center and the Homecoming BBQ Cookoff. Saturday features the Kosse Greyhound 5K Run/Walk, the Homecoming Parade, and the popular Kosse Fire Department Lunch. Preservation Texas is planning tours of the Bassett Farm Conservancy while the Kosse Heritage Society will be offering tours of their historic homes.

Life is Complicated and Miracles Bring us Out of the Darkness and Into the Light

It was Tuesday morning, and the hot Texas sun was beginning to warm things up. My daughter was anticipating a glorious three days at grandmother’s house with her cousin and grandma and grandpa. She started packing her suitcase on Friday, being careful to include her swimsuit, outfits she would wear along with all of the tools for a bright eyed nine-year-old girl to primp with. She made a picture collection of her and her grandmother to give to her grandfather for his birthday the following day.
