City Council approves Tax Roll, discuss Block Grant Program

The Groesbeck city council met for a brief meeting beginning at 6:00 p.m. Oct. 18. After the meeting was called to order and it was established that there were no citizen comments, the Council approved Resolution No. 22-R-11, Oncor Rate Change. This resolution by the city of Groesbeck denies Oncor Electric Delivery Company LLC’s application to increase rates.
More than 200 acres scorched

No structures were lost and no injuries were reported after about 215 acres burned in a grass fire Thursday afternoon, Oct. 13, between LCR 463 and Highway 14 in Mexia, Fire Chief Robert LaFoy said.
