Let the days be merry and bright City holds holiday celebration
The City of Groesbeck started the December season with a grand celebration including a lighted parade, tree lighting, and a downtown holiday celebration on Sat. Dec. 4. The night started with Mayor Ray O’Docharty lighting the tree at the corner of Ellis and Navasota at the parkette. The lighted parade immediately followed conducted by parade coordinator Lisa Stewart and announced by Michelle Latray. After the parade, City Hall Square was booming with performances by the Studio Move dancers, photos with Santa and Mrs. Claus, the Grinch, elves, face painting, hot chocolate, s’mores cones, a Letters to Santa mailbox, and a vocal performance by Mrs. Loretta Dupree.
