I desire to serve my community in ways that this office represents, allowing me to better understand underlying issues with providing an outlet for me to be a positive contribution. Two Local Prosecutors Inducted into Texas Prosecutors Society

County/District Attorney Roy DeFriend and Assistant Limestone County/District Attorney Beth Toben are two of the newest inductees into the prestigious Texas Prosecutors Society. The Society, which was established in 2011, brings together those who have demonstrated enduring support for the profession of prosecution. The Society gathers each year in conjunction with the Texas District & County Attorney Elected Prosecutor Conference for instillation of new members and a reception.

Charitable Bingo Night News

The Kosse Community Center will host its final night of charitable Bingo at 6 p.m. on Friday, December 17th, with the proceeds supporting the Kosse Heritage Society. 2022 Bingo nights will start on March 25th. It not only promises to have some good musicians for the night but also it’s the Christmas Covered Dish Meal night. Bring your favorite dish and dessert and be prepared to hear some good down country music with a blend of bluegrass to go with it.

Central Texas Food Bank Announces Departure of President and CEO

The Central Texas Food Bank’s President and CEO, Derrick Chubbs, will leave the organization at the end of the month to become President and CEO of the Second Harvest Food Bank of Central Florida in Orlando. Catrina Salinas, Chief People Officer, will lead the organization on an interim basis as the Board of Directors conducts a search for a permanent replacement.
