Coolidge ISD honors two former board members for tireless service to the district

The Coolidge ISD Board of Trustees and superintendent recently honored two former board members for their tireless service and extensive years on the board. Dr. Ric Bennett served 45 years on the CISD board and Mrs. Treon Erwin served 30 years. The evening was filled with stories, and all present remembered all they did for the community and the children of Coolidge. “They are loved and will forever be missed,” Coolidge Superintendent Robert Lowry said.

Hybrid rainwater harvesting program will address optimal irrigation, soil sampling

Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service’s Healthy Lawns and Healthy Waters Program will host a residential rainwater harvesting and turf management training June 22 for residents of Collin, Fannin, Grayson and Hunt counties.

This new tool will make it easier for patients to find the health care services they need within our community. So proud of our group of Senior Citizens. Nineteen of our group attended the Hamburger Feast in Groesbeck at the center there, in honor of Senior Citizens in our area. Ladies from Texas Home Health were so nice to come and help out with getting the hamburgers together and assisting in all ways, even trying to keep the flies from trying to take our burgers away. Thanks Ladies. Was glad another of our Directors, Carolyn Anderson, came and joined us as well as myself being a director on the board for our country.
