Brookshire Grocery Co. to Invest More Than $33M in Employee Wages, Raise Minimum Hourly Pay to $11

Brookshire Grocery Co. (BGC) announced today that it raised wages for almost 13,500 hourly employeepartners which totals more than $33 million investment in salaries. Part of this investment is the company making the extra $1 per hour in COVID appreciation pay permanent for the hourly retail and logistics employeepartners along with raising the minimum pay for several positions in retail.

Governor Abbott Signs Second Amendment Legislation Into Law

AUSTIN - Governor Greg Abbott signed seven pieces of legislation into law to protect Second Amendment Rights in Texas. The Governor was joined for the bill signing ceremony by Lieutenant Governor Dan Patrick, Speaker Dade Phelan, Senators Donna Campbell, Brandon Creighton, Charles Schwertner, and Drew Springer, Representatives Giovanni Capriglione, Cole Hefner, Tom Oliverson, Matt Shaefer, David Spiller, and other members of the legislature, as well as representatives of the National Rifle Association.
