Do Well, Be Well with Diabetes program starts in August

Do Well, Be Well with Diabetes is a program for people with Type 2 Diabetes. It is a 5-week program that explores a new topic each week. Get the facts from diabetic experts and professional educators, ask the questions you want answered, get the encouragement you need to make positive changes and meet others who have the same concerns you do. Classes will be held on Tuesdays beginning August 3rd through August 31st from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the McLennan County Extension Office located at 4224 Cobbs Dr., Waco, TX 76710. These classes are offered free of charge. I have always enjoyed canoeing so when I heard of a place along the Brazos where you can rent a canoe and paddle its scenic stream, I immediately made reservations and sweet-talked my daughter Andrea into joining me. She agreed, not realizing that the adventure under the sun would take close to five hours.
