Fans of twirling at Groesbeck have seen some lean years. After a two-decade-plus absence, twirling was back on the program during the fall of 2021 as Brianna Latray dazzled crowds with her baton twirling techniques.
Thursday was a very nice day to have a visitor, Edgar Estrada from the Groesbeck Journal, came to visit, have lunch, play bingo and take pictures. Sorry he wasn’t a bingo winner but maybe next time and hope you will come back often. Others for the day were site director; Janice Bilbrey, Ann Brown, Lorene Stembridge, Gay McBride, Jo Ann Archer, Roger and Sharon Watson, Gayla Lind, Wilma Lee, Wayne Sharp, Elizabeth Neason, Alma McCurry, Fonetta Simmons, Earl Mask, Hank and Elle Staniszweski, Neennah German and myself.
The annual Thornton Homecoming will be held this Thursday, Friday, and Saturday.
Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service, McLennan County along with multiple county extension committees will host the 12 Annual Central Texas Stocker Cattle Program on Wednesday, June 22 at the West Auction Barn in West, Texas.
