Groesbeck Council met for their regular monthly meeting on Tuesday, March 16 to discuss financial matters and the Heritage Festival.
MAG Inc. held its first annual heroes softball tournament at Groesbeck City Park on Sat. March 13. This tournament directly benefitted the Heroes of Limestone County (Police, Sheriff, Fire, EMS, and Local Veteran organizations).
Members and supporters of Limestone Cancer Support Group held a charity fashion show fundraiser Saturday at First Baptist Church, Mexia, serving a delicious dinner and featuring four distinct model groups – including a group of cute canines.
Groesbeck Police Department was hot on the heels of a graffiti artist hitting Groesbeck last week after three separate reports were received about the criminal mischief of vehicles and a building being “tagged” in town.
The total precipitation including the snowmelt water equivalent for January 2021 in Groesbeck was 4.5 inches. The total precipitation for February was 1.25 inches. Most of that was in the form of melted freezing rain, sleet, and snow; making the total for the year so far is 5.75 inches.
