Tree of Angels now ready for ornaments

The Limestone District-County Attorney’s Office cordially invites families and friends of victims and survivors of violent crime to bring an ornament to place on this year’s Tree of Angels located inside the Limestone County Courthouse. If you have previously placed an ornament on the tree it will be available for you to use. Due to COVID-19, the event ceremony has been canceled. The tree will be up throughout the holidays, for people to visit, place their ornament, and have a time of quiet reflection if they so choose. Groesbeck Journal photo/Jennifer Paul

Sale of LCDC complete

Just in time for the holiday season, Limestone County commissioners delivered good tidings that the sale of the Limestone County Detention Center was approved, and a contract with LaSalle Corrections has been signed.
