In their regular meeting via ZOOM on Monday, September 21, the Groesbeck ISD Board of Trustees held a grievance appeal conference for a Level Three parent/student complaint regarding policy on GPA/rank and related to a change in dual-credit/dualenrollment opportunities.
While on patrol Friday, Sept. 18 around 7:30 p.m., Officer Pantalici observed a vehicle in the 600 block of North Ellis Street.
Several decisions surrounding the dates, polling places and process for the Nov. 3 general election were approved by county commissioners during their regular meeting Tuesday, Sept. 22. Elections Administrator
Groesbeck Fire Department responded to the scene of a structure fire involving a storage facility in the 200 block of East Jacinto on Thurs. Sept. 17. Mexia and Kosse Fire Departments as well as Groesbeck Police Department and LMC EMS were called to assist. The cause of the fire is currently being investigated by Groesbeck PD as possible arson.
Ms. Foster attended and ran track her senior year at Groesbeck High School, Ms. Foster earned a scholarship in 1970 at graduation from GHS. She then attended Prairie View University where she accomplished many goals. Ms. Foster ran track for Prairie View where she lettered in track and graduated in 1975 from Prairie View University. Ms. Foster-Hopes earned her Bachelor’s degree and went on to teach at Fort Bend I.S D for the next 32 years. She retired in 2011.
