The NSDAR Jonathan Chapter attended the 121 st State DAR conference March 12-14 in Dallas, Texas. The President General, NSDAR Denise Doring VanBuren was in attendance. The theme for her administration is “Rise and Shine for America.” Those in attendance from the chapter are members left to right: Kay Alston, Aleece McBay, Vicky McSwane, Regent Nancy McSwane, Marsha Black, Diane Pullin and Pattie Gauntt. There were a total of 1,273 in attendance from over the state.
The Groesbeck Police Department continues to respond to the needs of the public every day in emergencies and overall security.
Art and science teachers from Enge-Washington joined forces to bring cheer to students earlier this week. The teachers made signs, blared music and honked while visiting more than 40 addresses to their students, including the towns or Kosse, Thornton, Old Union and the lake areas.
